Are you looking for a place where you can engage with fellow students about the ideals underpinning our democracy? Look no further.
FIRE is thrilled to announce that the 2023 FIRE Student Network Summer Conference will take place July 21-23 in Philadelphia.
FIRE鈥檚 annual summer conference is a weekend-long gathering designed to teach students about their rights and provide them with tools to assert and defend those rights on campus. Our weekend-long conference brings together college students of diverse backgrounds and political orientations from schools across the country, connected by a passion for civil liberties.

The FIREStudent Network Conference returned with some old friends and some new twists.
In addition to our keynote speakers (to be announced soon), the 2023 FSN conference will feature interactive and thought-provoking workshops led by FIRE staff. Working directly with attendees, FIREstaffers will educate students about the First Amendment and provide practical, action-oriented lessons about how to successfully stand up for free speech rights on campus.
Remember, FIREis always here to help: We have resources for becoming an activist, about your rights, researching your school鈥檚 speech codes, and . And what better way to kickstart your activism than with a trip to Philly this summer!
The conference is free and open to current students at U.S. colleges and universities (including incoming first-years and graduate students). We鈥檒l provide meals and a travel and lodging reimbursement of up to $500 to help you get here.
