San Antonio鈥檚 Animal Care Services hides many of the comments people leave on its Facebook posts. Although the agency does not appear to have any formal policy banning certain opinions, many of the comments it hides are critical of the agency鈥檚 euthanasia policy.
On September 11, FIREwrote to the agency鈥檚 interim director explaining that the government cannot censor people鈥檚 comments based on viewpoint.
On September 23, San Antonio wrote back to us to confirm that they will stop removing or hiding comments on the Facebook page.
