Carolyn Iodice

A native of Philadelphia suburbs, Carolyn received her J.D. from the New York University School of Law and her B.A. in English and secondary education from Cabrini University.

After law school, Carolyn spent more than five years on Capitol Hill. She joined the office of Representative Justin Amash in 2015, where she ultimately served as legislative director until Rep. Amash retired from Congress in 2021. As part of her role, Carolyn was responsible for the office鈥檚 policy work on civil liberties, including efforts to fight warrantless surveillance, civil asset forfeiture, and qualified immunity. After leaving the Hill, Carolyn served as senior counsel for the Clause 40 Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works to combat the erosion of due process rights in the criminal justice system, and she contributed independent research and strategic support to a coalition working to reform the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Carolyn resides in Brooklyn and Philly, and she is a member of the D.C., Pennsylvania, and New York bars.
