Princeton Changes Policy on Religious Groups

Following the victory FIREannounced last week, the Daily Princetonian that Princeton has moved quickly to fulfill its promise to FIREthat it would make any changes necessary for its student organization recognition procedures to be consistent with student鈥檚 freedom of expression and legal equality. The article reports:

Under the new policy, religious student groups with ties to faith organizations without established 鈥渃ampus ministries鈥 will be considered for official student group status using the same criteria as other groups. Previously, such student groups were denied recognition.
